The Hub is provides sessions for all the community. Some older people who have recently returned home from hospital find it helps reduce their loneliness and social isolation.
There is a charge of £3 per session.
The sessions run each Tuesday from 9.45am to 2.45pm. Service users can enjoy a chat, cup of tea and cake and spend time reading the newspaper or taking part in a quiz, a game of pool or even baking a few cakes. Activities are developed to meet the requests of the service users who are invited to join a focus group.
Service users can spend as long or short a time as they wish at the centre. A cooked meal is available at a small charge for anyone who wishes to stay for the full session.
There is on street parking directly outside The Hub. Access is via a ramped entrance from the pavement. There is one step into the hall – a portable ramp is available on request. The Hub has an accessible toilet.
