Middleport Pottery

The children are visiting Middleport pottery at half term.  They will be spending  some time in the visitor centre before starting their art and craft activities.  This activity is partly funded by a grant from the Staffordshire Police and Crime Commissioner.

Coop Charity Scheme

On September 21st we attended the launch of the Coop Community Scheme at Blurton Coop.  We are very lucky to have been selected as one of the three charities that the Ingestre Square branch is supporting.  Members of the Coop who buy own branded goods will have 5% of their purchase refunded to their membership card and 1% will donated to local charities.

Lunches £3

After several years of no price increases we regret that we need to charge £3 per lunch on Wednesdays and Thursdays, from September.   Until now, we have received funding from various places and have been able to keep costs very low.  We also grow some of our own vegetable to support the provision of a warm meal each week.

We consider that our two course meals, cooked on the premises,  along with tea and coffee still represent good value at £3 each.  Everyone is welcome but please arrive or book by 11.00am so that we know how many meals to prepare.

We have a 5 rating for Food Safety and Hygiene.

LeaderLab Holiday 2016

The children from LeaderLab have had a wonderful time at Stanley Head Outdoor Education Centre.  A few days of fun, team building and outdoor pursuits.  The weather was perfect.  Not a drop of rain, although they did get very wet in Stanley Pool – they jumped in off their home-made rafts!!  Look out for our photos and detailed report – but not for a few days yet.
