No. Just turn up on your chosen day.
What does a session include?
Sessions include a variety of activities: sewing, crafts, computers, jigsaws, pool, table games, cooking and gardening. The Hub provides all the resources. Each session is £5, including hot drinks for everyone.
I’m a bit worried about not knowing anyone.
You’ll soon get to know people and make friends. We’ll make sure that you are looked after and receive a warm welcome.
Are there drinks available?
Yes. Tea and coffee are provided. You can help yourself from the drinks trolley between 10.15 and 11.30. Someone will help if you can’t pour or carry your drink.
Can I choose my activity?
You can. There are different activities on each table. Or if you prefer, you can just sit on the settees and relax. You choose what you wish to do.
How much is a dinner and what food do you offer?
Lunch is £5. We offer a variety of meals – beef casserole and dumplings, chicken curry, spaghetti bolognaise, fish and chips, roast dinner, steak pie with chips/mash and vegetables. Dessert can be fruit pie, crumble, sponge pudding, yoghurt and fruit, gateau and cream or yoghurt. We also have sandwiches as an alternative if the main meal is unsuitable.
Food can be adjusted to dietary needs – soft and small, or pureed – just ask when you arrive.

One bathroom is fully accessible with rails and a lowered hand basin. The second bathroom has two cubicles. One has a toilet frame the other has a grab handle. All three can be opened by staff from the outside.
Can my care staff stay?
Yes. They will be able to help you with activities.
What happens if I feel ill?
Tell someone straightaway. On your first visit, you will be asked to fill in a form giving details of emergency contacts, date of birth, home address, medication, medical conditions or allergies. It is kept securely for use in an emergency.
