Activity for Older People

The Hub is provides sessions for all the community.  Some older people who have recently returned home from hospital find it helps reduce their loneliness and social isolation.

There is a charge of £3.50 per session.

The sessions run each Tuesday from 9.45am to 12.30pm and 1.00pm to 2.45pm Service users can enjoy a chat, cup of tea and cake and spend time reading the newspaper or taking part in a quiz, a game of pool or even baking a few cakes.  Activities are developed to meet the requests of the service users who are invited to join a focus group.

Service users can spend as long or short a time as they wish at the centre.   A cooked meal is available at a small charge for anyone who wishes to stay for the afternoon session.

There is on street parking directly outside The Hub.  Access is via a ramped entrance from the pavement.  There is one step into the hall  – a portable ramp is available on request.  The Hub has an accessible toilet.
