Gentle Chair Exercise

A chair exercise class will begin on Tuesday, 4th February. 1.45pm too 2.45pm. Cost per session is £3. The class is led by Emma Dyster, a physiotherapist. No need to book, just turn up.

First Aid Course for Children

In partnership with Staffs Solutions Group and supported by the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner’s Fund, The Hub has organised a First Aid Course for children between the ages of 8 to 12. Four sessions, running from 4.30 to 5.30 on the following dates. Thursdays, 16th January, 30th January, 6th February and 13th February.

LeaderLab

LeaderLab begins again on Thursday, 5th September.  6.00 to 7.30.  £3.50 per session.

July/August activities

Activities for the school holidays will be advertised on our events diary and our Facebook page. These will include a science day and a circus skills day.  More details in a few weeks.

Middleport Pottery

The children are visiting Middleport pottery at half term.  They will be spending  some time in the visitor centre before starting their art and craft activities.  This activity is partly funded by a grant from the Staffordshire Police and Crime Commissioner.

Junior Police Cadets

CI Rob Taylor and PCSO Paul Washington presented certificates to eighteen children who have completed the Junior Police Cadet course.

Coop Charity Scheme

The Coop Community Fund has selected The Hub as one of the three charities that will be supported in 2019 -2020. After several years of no price increases we regret that we now need to charge £3.50 per lunch..   We were fortunate to  receive funding from various places and it enabled us to keep costs very low.  We also grow some of our own vegetables to support the provision of a warm meal each week. […]

Team Building at Stanley Head

LeaderLab children from across Stoke on Trent will be spending three days at Stanley Head OEC working on team building in August. From crate stacking to the high ropes and the climbing wall everyone will be encouraged to support each other and build confidence.
